About

Alexandria Gallery is a nonprofit contemporary art gallery based in the Cleveland area that presents museum-caliber works by established American and international artists across Contemporary, Naive, Folk, Abstract, Surrealist, and Pop art. The gallery maintains one of the most significant curated collections of Naive and museum-caliber Folk art in the United States, alongside a dynamic program of rotating exhibitions, artist presentations, and cultural events.

Founded by Irina Falberg as an artist-centered nonprofit pop-up initiative, the gallery began with a mission to create meaningful opportunities for artists and cultivate a welcoming environment for both new and established collectors. During the gallery’s early development, Falberg encountered an extraordinary collection of Naive art assembled over more than twenty-five years by Dan Chill, featuring artists from all continents. Recognizing the collection’s cultural and historical significance, the gallery expanded its vision to preserve and present these works within a broader contemporary program grounded in storytelling, emotional resonance, and international dialogue.

Today, Alexandria Gallery operates from Eton in Woodmere, Ohio, near destinations including the Apple Store and Barnes & Noble. The gallery presents exhibitions, artist talks, workshops, art classes, and community-centered programming while also offering advisory, installation, rental, and commissioning services for private and commercial clients.

Beyond its exhibition program, Alexandria Gallery develops educational and cultural initiatives that encourage wider engagement with the arts through collecting, learning, and community participation.

Summer 2025

Irina Falberg established the gallery as a pop-up initiative to provide a platform for Cleveland artists to present their work. In the course of the Pop Up stage, Irina encountered an extraordinary and singular body of work: a museum-caliber collection of naive art available to the public at GINA Gallery. The collection was a vision dreamed and brought to life over more than twenty-five years ago by Dan Chill, encompassing artists from over fifty countries and many cultural traditions.

At a time marked by increasing fragmentation, Falberg recognized the cultural significance of preserving and presenting this collection, one that brings together diverse artistic voices within a unified curatorial framework. The gallery continues to uphold this vision, offering audiences the opportunity to engage with works that reflect both the individuality of their makers and the shared human narratives that transcend borders.

Spring 2026

Alexandria Gallery’s curators continue to expand the collection by adding exceptional works of contemporary practice, encompassing abstraction, impressionistic expression, pop, and kaleidoscopic explorations of color and form, all expressing the vitality and richness of lived moments, captured for us to pause and savor.

Extending beyond exhibition, the gallery serves as an active site of cultural engagement, offering art events and programs that invite local communities to participate directly in the creative process. Through these initiatives, the Alexandria Gallery fosters a deeper connection between artists and audiences, sustaining an environment where artistic practice, education, and shared experience converge.
